WILMA’s 2020 Leadership Institute, an annual nine-month program, gives area women the opportunity to learn from leaders in the region, visit a range of local companies, and serve as each others’ personal board of directors.
The program is part of WILMA’s Women to Watch Leadership Initiative, created to help develop more women leaders in our area.

Morgan Byerly
Title: Nuclear Fuel Engineer
Company: General Electric/GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy
How long have you been with your current employer? 5 years
Alma mater: Undergrad at University of Florida, Master’s degree at Georgia Institute of Technology
Prior career experience: Career started at current employer
Current job responsibilities: Design nuclear fuel cycles, balancing fuel cycle economics (fuel bundle quantity and uranium requirements), fuel safety margins, and the customer’s desired plant operating margins to deliver an optimized bundle/core design. Conduct internal/external training of fuel cycle procedures. Mentor engineers in subject areas of expertise.
Hobbies: Aerial Silks, Reading, Travelling
