WILMA’s Leadership Institute: Meet Kellie Lewis
Snapshot of this year's Leadership Institute members
WILMA’s 2025 Leadership Institute, an annual nine-month program, gives area women the opportunity to learn from leaders in the region, visit a range of local companies, and serve as each others’ personal board of directors.
The program is part of the WILMA Leadership Initiative, created to help develop more women leaders in our area.
Meet institute member KELLIE LEWIS.

Title: Commercial Banking Relationship Manager
Company: Live Oak Bank
How long have you been with your current employer? Since January 2025
Alma Mater: CFCC & Miller Motte
Prior career experience: Commercial Banking Relationship Manager at Live Oak Bank, Vice President, Commercial Relationship Manager at Customers Bank, Business Banker II at Truist, Senior Business Banking Specialist at Wells Fargo
Current job responsibilities: In January 2025, Live Oak Bank launched a new team dedicated to commercial banking in the Wilmington market. My responsibilities as a commercial banker with Live Oak are to serve local business owners throughout the Cape Fear region looking for access to capital. Our team will serve businesses with annual revenues between $2 million and $100 million, deploy capital through conventional lending products, and offer competitive deposit services. We are dedicated to a personalized approach to help companies secure the capital they need to buy, build, expand, and operate their businesses.
Hobbies: In my free time, I love spending time with my husband of 13 years, our 5 yr. old daughter and mini golden doodle (Stephen, Blakely, Bailey). We frequently engage in outdoor activities. We enjoy boating, swimming in our pool, and traveling as often as we can. I appreciate exercising and maintaining an active family lifestyle, while also enjoying relaxed Sundays. Additionally, I truly value quality time spent with our family and friends, cooking & savoring delicious food, good cocktails and live music.
