WILMA’s 2023 Leadership Institute, an annual nine-month program, gives area women the opportunity to learn from leaders in the region, visit a range of local companies, and serve as each others’ personal board of directors.
The program is part of WILMA’s Women to Watch Leadership Initiative, created to help develop more women leaders in our area.
Meet institute member JESSICA BEARDSLEY.

How long have you been with your current employer? A year and a half
Alma Mater: MBA from Plymouth State University, in Plymouth New Hampshire, Bachelor of Science in Management/HR from Keene State College, Keene, New Hampshire
Prior career experience:
- Novant Health/New Hanover Regional Medical Center – 15 years various leadership roles (Talent Acquisition Manager, Benefits Manager, HR Business Partner)
- Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, Brattleboro VT- Employment & Program Support Manager
- National Grange Mutual Insurance Company, Keene New Hampshire – Customer Service Supervisor
- Hannaford Food & Drug Superstore, HR Manager
Current job responsibilities: Member of our senior leadership team and hands on partner focused on driving HR effectiveness and providing guidance to the organization’s HR operations. Responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals.
Hobbies: Relaxing on our boat in the sunshine, going to the beach, spending time with family, playing with our black lab Luna
