WILMA’s 2023 Leadership Institute, an annual nine-month program, gives area women the opportunity to learn from leaders in the region, visit a range of local companies, and serve as each others’ personal board of directors.
The program is part of WILMA’s Women to Watch Leadership Initiative, created to help develop more women leaders in our area.
Meet institute member GINA SOLARI.
Gina Solari

How long have you been with your current employer? May 2023
Alma Mater: Capella University
Prior career experience:
- Advocate at The Carousel Center
- Forensic Interviewer & Child Therapist at The Carousel Center
Current job responsibilities: I provide school-based mental health services to children within the school system here in New Hanover County. This position allows me to reach children and families within our community that might not have access to private mental health services and families who might have other barriers that prevent their children from receiving services.
Hobbies: I am a mother of two active children, ages 6 and 13. You will most likely find me cheering on the side of a football field, soaking up the sun at the beach, or spending time with my wonderful family.
