WILMA’s Leadership Institute: Meet Catherine Michelle Sumrall

WILMA’s 2024 Leadership Institute, an annual nine-month program, gives area women the opportunity to learn from leaders in the region, visit a range of local companies, and serve as each others’ personal board of directors.

The program is part of WILMA’s Women to Watch Leadership Initiative, created to help develop more women leaders in our area.

Meet institute member CATHERINE MICHELLE SUMRALL.

Company: Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center

How long have you been with your current employer? 16 Years

Alma Mater: UNC Pembroke

Prior career experience: Staff Respiratory Therapist at University of Maryland, John Hopkins, Novant Pender memorial, Novant New Hanover prior to going into leadership.

Current job responsibilities:Currently I oversee the budgets, staffing and operations of the three listed departments. At our wellness center we have created pulmonary rehab and cancer wellness programs as well as expanded our cardiac rehab program.

 Hobbies: I love traveling and spending time with my family as well as all things Wellness.
