WILMA’s Leadership Institute: Meet Alyssa Kardatzke

WILMA’s 2025 Leadership Institute, an annual nine-month program, gives area women the opportunity to learn from leaders in the region, visit a range of local companies, and serve as each others’ personal board of directors.

The program is part of the WILMA Leadership Initiative, created to help develop more women leaders in our area.

Meet institute member ALYSSA KARDATZKE.

How long have you been with your current employer? 2 Years

Alma Mater: Ball State University

Prior career experience: Director of Development, Canines for Service, Director of Development, New Leaf Behavioral Health, Community Development Manager, American Cancer Society, Owner & Doula, Beautiful Promise Birth Services, Additional experience includes consulting and volunteer board of director roles.

Current job responsibilities: As Director of Development at Canines for Service, I lead fundraising efforts to support the organization’s mission of providing service dogs to Veterans. My role includes developing and executing fundraising strategies, cultivating donor relationships, securing grants, and overseeing campaigns and events. By driving revenue growth and donor engagement, I ensure the financial sustainability of the organization and expand its impact in the community.

Hobbies: I love to read books, watch documentaries, and travel.
