WILMA’s 2021 Leadership Institute, an annual nine-month program, gives area women the opportunity to learn from leaders in the region, visit a range of local companies, and serve as each others’ personal board of directors.
The program is part of WILMA’s Women to Watch Leadership Initiative, created to help develop more women leaders in our area.
Meet 2021 institute member HOLLY SNIDER.

Title: Program Director, PPGY1 Pharmacy Residency
Company: New Hanover Regional Medical Center
How long have you been with your current employer? Thirteen years
Alma mater: Mount Olive College (undergrad), Wingate University School of Pharmacy
Prior career experience: Clinical Pharmacist
Current job responsibilities:
- Program Director, PGY1 Pharmacy Residency
- Oversee training and education of 6 PGY1 Pharmacy residents, Co-supervise 1 PGY1 Community-Based Pharmacy resident, 1 PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy resident, 1 PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy resident. ; Manage expenditures and reimbursement, residency travel and conference logistics, recruitment logistics, facilitate quarterly preceptor development for ~ 40 preceptors- all programs
- Clinical pharmacist- Adult Inpatient Medicine
Evaluate and manage medication therapy and laboratory data
- Provide medication education to patients and providers
Hobbies: Gardening
