BIGGERS MARKET

Part farmers market and part community gathering space, Biggers Market, 6250 Market Street and 6458 Carolina Beach Road, is known for fresh local produce, seasonal products, and a lively atmosphere. Many locals stop by throughout the week for fruits, vegetables, and specialty items sourced from regional growers. The market has become a favorite stop for those looking to support local agriculture.

FARMERS MARKET AT POPLAR GROVE PLANTATION

Held on the grounds of historic Poplar Grove Plantation, this market at 10200 U.S. Highway 17 offers a unique shopping experience. Visitors can browse products from farmers, bakers, and artisans while enjoying a local historical setting. The weekly open-air market on Wednesdays (9 a.m.-1 p.m.) is especially popular during the summer months.

RIVERFRONT FARMERS MARKET

Wilmington’s longest-running farmers market is a favorite among locals for its downtown waterfront setting and wide selection of locally grown and handmade products. Visitors can browse fresh produce, meats, seafood, baked goods, honey, flowers, and artisan creations while enjoying views of the Cape Fear River. The market, 110 Dock Street, has become a Saturday morning tradition (8 a.m.-1 p.m.) for many.

WILMINGTON FARMERS MARKET AT TIDAL CREEK

Located at Tidal Creek Cooperative Food Market, this producer-only market focuses on locally grown food and products from regional farmers and makers. Shoppers will find organic produce, pasture-raised meats, eggs, mushrooms, breads, and specialty foods. The year-round market, 5329 Oleander Drive, takes place Saturdays (8 a.m.-1 p.m.)

CAROLINA BEACH MARKET

Produce and artisan vendors come together on Saturdays (8 a.m.-1 p.m.) around Carolina Beach Lake Park from April to October. Food trucks and drink stands also are often on hand to pick up breakfast or lunch while shopping the booths.

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH FARMERS’ MARKET

Just minutes from the coast, this market combines fresh produce with local crafts and community atmosphere. Residents and visitors gather each week on Monday mornings (8 a.m.-1 p.m.) to shop seasonal fruits and vegetables, specialty foods, and handmade goods while enjoying the relaxed beach-town vibe. The market,  321 Causeway Drive, has been a Wrightsville Beach tradition since 2009.
