WILMA’s 2026 Leadership Institute, an annual nine-month program, gives area women the opportunity to learn from leaders in the region, visit a range of local companies, and serve as each other’s personal board of directors.

WILMA’s Leadership Institute, an annual nine-month program, gives area women the opportunity to learn from leaders in the region, visit a range of local companies, and serve as each other’s personal board of directors. The program is part of the WILMA Leadership Initiative, created to empower women to lead with confidence and purpose. Meet institute member COURTNEY WILSON.


Courtney Wilson

Title:  Chaplain

Company:  Novant Health

How long have you been with your current employer?  7 years

Alma Mater:  UNC Charlotte and Hood Theological Seminary, Salisbury, NC.

Prior career experience: Chaplain Resident, New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Emergency Transport Services 2015-2017. Emergency Department and Behavioral Health Chaplain, Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center 2018-2024. Mobile Health Chaplain, Novant Health 2024-Present.

Current job responsibilities: Provide one-on-one support to Mobile Health staff to aid in overall wellbeing. Community engagements, education and outreach.

Hobbies: Getting outside with my dogs. Reading at the beach. Listening to Podcasts.
