The program is part of the WILMA Leadership Initiative, created to empower women to lead with confidence and purpose. Meet institute member LAURA COOK.


Laura Cook

Title:  Senior Development Engineer & Supervisor

Company:  Corning, Inc.

How long have you been with your current employer?  15 years

Alma Mater:  Bucknell University

Prior career experience: 15 years with Corning, Incorporated:  * Project Manager in Wilmington, NC * Development Manager in Santa Barbara, CA * Materials Engineer in Corning, NY

Current job responsibilities: Responsible for single mode optical fiber technical product development and manufacturability. Manages engineers, technicians, and contractors to meet business goals.

Hobbies: Backpacking, Reading, Beach trips
