WILMA’s 2025 Leadership Institute, an annual nine-month program, gives area women the opportunity to learn from leaders in the region, visit a range of local companies, and serve as each others’ personal board of directors.
The program is part of the WILMA Leadership Initiative, created to help develop more women leaders in our area.
Meet institute member MEGAN KAUZLARIC.
Megan Kauzlaric
Title: Director of Marketing and Communications
Company: UNCW, Office of the Provost and the Division of Academic Affairs
How long have you been with your current employer? 3.5 years
Alma Mater: Bridgewater College, College of Charleston
Prior career experience: After completing my master’s degree, I stayed on with the College of Charleston, working as an Administrative Assistant for the Office of the Provost and Faculty Secretariat for Faculty Senate, and later as the Coordinator for Events, Outreach, and Public Relations for the Department of Communication. When I transitioned to the Office of the Provost at UNCW, I began as the Communication and Marketing Coordinator before stepping into my current role in Fall 2024.
Current job responsibilities: I manage executive communications and marketing for the Office of the Provost, which includes speaking engagements, special events, and divisional/university publications and serving as a consultant for associate provosts and units throughout the division. I also serve as the divisional liaison to the Office of University Relations, the UNCW Web Team, and partners across the university and as a facilitator with the marketing and communications leads in our division, including the five academic colleges.
Hobbies: Outside of work, I am spending as much time as possible with my husband, son, and pup. In amongst family activities and never ending yard work, you can often find me here: reading, walking, exploring as many local roads as possible, traveling to visit family, or dreaming about my next national park trip.
