WILMA’s 2025 Leadership Institute, an annual nine-month program, gives area women the opportunity to learn from leaders in the region, visit a range of local companies, and serve as each others’ personal board of directors.
The program is part of the WILMA Leadership Initiative, created to help develop more women leaders in our area.
Meet institute member JENNIFER MURRAY.
Jennifer Murray
Title: Materials Learning and Develop Leader for Global Supply Chain
Company: GE Aerospace
How long have you been with your current employer? 2.5 years
Alma Mater: Southeastern University, B.S. English and Intercultural Studies. UNCW, M.A. Middle Grades Education
Prior career experience: Public School Educator and Instructional Coach, 7 years, Curriculum Developer and Specialist, 3 years
Current job responsibilities: As the Site Training Leader, I am the primary contact for developing and providing cross-functional training and learning/development opportunities at the site. I collaborate with site leaders to address training gaps and create strategic plans to improve plant metrics. I partner with subject matter experts to ensure content quality and best instructional practices. By networking with and benchmarking other sites, I leverage and share training resources. I regularly connect with the Corporate Learning Team to align priorities, highlight site needs, and secure learning resources. I provide leadership development and growth opportunities through training for various roles within the site. I facilitate continuous improvement events to develop robust, cost-effective training processes to support plant growth.
Hobbies: Surfing, boating, cooking, weightlifting, LAX and Karate mom, hiking with my husband and our golden doodle.
