WILMA’s Leadership Institute: Meet Dani Pittman
Snapshot of this year's Leadership Institute members
WILMA’s 2025 Leadership Institute, an annual nine-month program, gives area women the opportunity to learn from leaders in the region, visit a range of local companies, and serve as each others’ personal board of directors.
The program is part of the WILMA Leadership Initiative, created to help develop more women leaders in our area.
Meet institute member DANI PITTMAN.
Dani Pittman
Title: COO / Director of Agency Development
Company: Valor Pro Assist / Sheally Insurance Group
How long have you been with your current employer? 6 years
Alma Mater: Bachelor’s Degree: NC Wesleyan University / Master’s Degree: Montreat College
Prior career experience: Program Director for the Wilmington Hammerheads Youth Soccer Club (2012 – 2019)
Current job responsibilities: I have the privilege of supporting two great companies—Sheally Insurance Group and Valor Pro Assist. At Sheally, I manage a Commercial Insurance portfolio while also streamlining operations and creating efficiencies for our team. This work led to the launch of Valor Pro Assist, a fast-growing virtual assistant company, where I serve as COO. At Valor, I focus on scaling operations, developing technology, and ensuring both our staff and clients have the support they need to succeed.
Hobbies: Most of my free time is spent watching my 8-year-old daughter twirl her way through dance classes and chasing her around in between. I also steal moments with my husband whenever possible during this crazy season of life and squeeze in workouts before the sun comes up.
