WILMA’s 2025 Leadership Institute, an annual nine-month program, gives area women the opportunity to learn from leaders in the region, visit a range of local companies, and serve as each others’ personal board of directors.
The program is part of the WILMA Leadership Initiative, created to help develop more women leaders in our area.
Meet institute member STEPHANIE BATEWELL.

How long have you been with your current employer? 4 years
Alma Mater: Virginia Tech
Prior career experience: Project Manager for Thomas Construction Group
Current job responsibilities: Develop and manage construction schedules during the preconstruction and construction phases of work.
Hobbies: Golf, woodworking, going to the beach, and going on adventures with my husband and kids.
