WILMA’s Leadership Institute, an annual nine-month program, gives area women the opportunity to learn from leaders in the region, visit a range of local companies, and serve as each other’s personal board of directors. The program is part of the WILMA Leadership Initiative, created to empower women to lead with confidence and purpose. Meet institute member NOELLE OWEN.

Alma Mater: Belmont University and Mercer University
Prior career experience: Director of Social Services, therapeutic foster care agency Hospice Chaplain Director of Family Preservation Services and Licensed Counselor, non-profit Student and Children’s Minister, various churches
Current job responsibilities: NAMI Wilmington’s Executive Director provides strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the organization, overseeing program development, volunteer coordination, partnerships, and fundraising to expand access to mental health services. I am responsible for strengthening organizational capacity, guiding growth initiatives, and ensuring effective delivery of programs.
Hobbies: Reading, running, enjoying my pets, trying new experiences and places
