WILMA’s 2026 Leadership Institute, an annual nine-month program, gives area women the opportunity to learn from leaders in the region, visit a range of local companies, and serve as each other’s personal board of directors.

WILMA’s Leadership Institute, an annual nine-month program, gives area women the opportunity to learn from leaders in the region, visit a range of local companies, and serve as each other’s personal board of directors. The program is part of the WILMA Leadership Initiative, created to empower women to lead with confidence and purpose. Meet institute member LINDSEY PERRY.


Lindsey Perry

Title:  Student Success Advisor

Company:  UNC Wilmington College of Health and Human Services

How long have you been with your current employer?  5 years

Alma Mater:  UNC Asheville ’18, UNC Wilmington ’21

Prior career experience: Outdoor Educator, Student Development Graduate Assistant, Aquatics Coordinator

Current job responsibilities: In my day-to-day, I provide academic advising, guidance with goals, and connection to resources to undergraduate students to support their academic achievements. Outside of my daily duties, I support college initiatives by co-leading student ambassadors, teaching health and safety courses, and assisting with event and program planning.

Hobbies: I enjoy going on walks around Wilmington, playing sand volleyball, doing puzzles, reading, cross-stitching, going on road trips, and planning themed parties.
