WILMA’s 2026 Leadership Institute, an annual nine-month program, gives area women the opportunity to learn from leaders in the region, visit a range of local companies, and serve as each other’s personal board of directors.

The program is part of the WILMA Leadership Initiative, created to empower women to lead with confidence and purpose. Meet institute member HAYLEY FOSTER.


Hayley Foster

Title:  Catering Sales Manager

Company:  Embassy Suites by Hilton Wilmington Riverfront

How long have you been with your current employer?  3.5 years

Alma Mater:  University of North Carolina Wilmington

Prior career experience: Front of House Manager at the Peace Center (April 2021-April 2022); Guest Services Coordinator at the Peace Center (October 2020-April 2021); Event Coordinator at the Peace Center (January 2020 to June 2020); Construction Management Analyst at Lima One Capital (July 2019 to December 2019); HR Administrative Assistant at Clemson University (February 2019 to July 2019); Costuming Assistant at Walt Disney World (February 2018 to August 2018)

Current job responsibilities: As the Catering Sales Manager, I finalize event details, including timelines, room setups, audiovisual requirements, and catering needs for conferences, meetings, and events within the Association & Corporate markets. Also, I work with corporate groups to reserve their “pop-up/shorter-term” events & room blocks as well as catering-only events like Holiday Parties, Awards Banquets, meetings, trainings, and more!

Hobbies: I love to travel, read, cook (& eat), and do anything that lets me be creative! Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, trying out new local businesses, and walking my dog, Luna.
