WILMA’s 2025 Leadership Institute, an annual nine-month program, gives area women the opportunity to learn from leaders in the region, visit a range of local companies, and serve as each others’ personal board of directors.
The program is part of the WILMA Leadership Initiative, created to help develop more women leaders in our area.
Meet institute member EMMA ERICKSEN.
Emma Ericksen
Title: Proposal Specialist
Company: Thomas Construction Group
How long have you been with your current employer? 1.5 years
Alma Mater: UNCW
Prior career experience: Before Thomas, I worked at the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce.
Current job responsibilities: In my current role, I lead the development of proposals and qualifications at Thomas, ensuring alignment with company goals, brand standards, and client expectations. Through collaboration with marketing and business development, I help drive growth by identifying opportunities and producing strategic proposals.
Hobbies: I spend most of my free time going to the beach, concerts, running, and reading.
