There are many things that never go out of style: denim, LBDs, pencil skirts, martinis, and… plaid. A classic pattern that we see emerge every fall/winter season, it is also one that easily morphs into the latest aesthetic be it prep, punk, casual, or romantic-inspired.

Going beyond wrapping paper, bows, and your fav flannel shirt, plaids are a versatile wardrobe friend for your holiday attire. Keep it elegant and understated (think Burberry) or go all Westwood and glam up that tartan (or glen or windowpane) by mixing it with luxury fabrics like satins, velvets, sheers, or even feathers. And when you get that cocktail party invite, be sure to (gingham) check yes.
