The holidays might still be a ways away, but fall gala season is just kicking up its heels.

The standard LBD may not cut it; some occasions – like this year’s Women to Watch Awards – call for a little more sparkle. Well, raise the curtain and cue the glitter and sequins.

While the mere mention of those may have some cowering in the corner of a dressing room, fret not. You can easily direct this trend towards Hollywood glamour and away from Vegas showgirl. Whether your style is a full-on sequin gown, a shimmery fabric, or a few well-placed metallic accents, it’s the one time of year when too much is a good thing. So, sequin up and shine on!
