This year’s Coastal Entrepreneur Awards recognize high-growth companies and impactful nonprofits in the region. The awards event, a joint program between WILMA sister publication Greater Wilmington Business Journal and UNCW’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, takes place May 21 at UNCW’s Burney Center. Among this year’s category winners are the Carolina Beach Mural Project, headed up by MAUREEN LEWIS, in the Nonprofit category. The locally based skin care line Unwind Collection by Creatively Covered Co. by DAWN MCDOWELL (right) earned the nod in this year’s Minority/Woman-Owned Business category. At the awards event later this month, the category winners will be recognized, and this year’s overall Coastal Entrepreneur of the Year named.
