Dawson Med

Working Toward Health Equity Dawson Med, and its staff, are committed to eliminating health disparities. According to the CDC, health disparities or inequities, are types of unfair health differences closely linked with social, economic or environmental disadvantages that adversely affect groups of people. Health inequities are reflected in differences in length of life, quality of life, rates of disease, disability, and death, the severity of disease, and access to treatment. Achieving health equity will not be a simple feat. It will require, amongst other things, educating both patients and providers, expanding resources and opportunities for healthy living, in addition to changing certain patterns of eating and activity. Dawson Med is committed to this lofty goal. We’re here for the journey and invite you to walk alongside us.
