The Brooklyn Arts DiGenesis Block Foundation, a hub for entrepreneurship in Southeastern North Carolina, announced the appointment of four new members to its board of directors: AMY SULLIVAN, TERRY ESPY, APRIL SCOTT, and JERRY COLEMAN.

Sullivan, founder and principal of Lumina Business Solutions, a fractional business management firm, is the new board chair.

The new members join the organization’s existing board, led by vice chair KHALILAH OLOKUNOLU, treasurer SHARM BRANTLEY, and secretary TUFANNA BRADLEY, along with directors NED MARABLE, LISA WEEKS, TANYA MCGEE, and GIRARD NEWKIRK.

“We are incredibly fortunate to welcome such a talented and diverse group of individuals to our board,” executive director TRACEY NEWKIRK says.

“Espy (owner of Momentum Companies) is a respected leader in the community with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by entrepreneurs, primarily small business owners,” Genesis officials say.

Scott, director of Brunswick Community College’s Small Business Center, has years of experience supporting small businesses helping to get their ventures off the ground. “She will help with our expansion into Brunswick County,” group leaders say.
