Health Heroine

COASTAL HORIZONS CENTER PRESIDENT AND CEO MARGARET WELLER-STARGELL is the Lifetime Achievement award recipient in this year’s Health Care Heroes program.

Weller-Stargell joined Coastal Horizons in 1985 as a counselor, becoming executive director in 1995 and later the nonprofit’s president and CEO.

“Under her leadership, services have expanded far beyond the walls of a traditional substance use treatment center, making comprehensive care more accessible to people in schools, healthcare settings, and communities throughout the state,” Weller-Stargell’s nomination says.

She receives the award at an event November 12, when finalists in the other Health Care Heroes.
