WILMA’s Leadership Institute, an annual nine-month program, gives area women the opportunity to learn from leaders in the region, visit a range of local companies, and serve as each other’s personal board of directors. The program is part of the WILMA Leadership Initiative, created to empower women to lead with confidence and purpose. Meet institute member KATEY-ANN YONKER.


Katey-Ann Yonker

Title:  Executive Assistant

How long have you been with your current employer?  Two Years

Alma Mater:  Clarion University

Prior career experience: New Hanover County Register of Deeds Assistant / Passport Manager  New Hanover County Register of Deeds Clerk

Current job responsibilities: I provide executive-level support to the Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Revenue Officer, and Chief Partners Officer, along with their broader teams. My role includes managing calendars, scheduling meetings, taking and distributing notes, booking travel, and handling expenses for both departments. I also plan and execute large-scale team events such as kick-off and mid-year meetings. I coordinate all aspects of customer office visits, from travel and accommodations to on-site agendas.

Hobbies: Going to the beach with family, making sourdough, cooking, yoga, making charcuterie boards, reading
