Snip, Color and Style for Fall
Stylists at NSalo Salon share their hair fashion picks for autumn.
THE CUT
According to stylist Rhea Pemberton, this short, tousled cut has a detailed fringe to give softness to the shape. The weight balance is important to retain an element of femininity. She suggests using Bed Head product to keep the shape up-to-date. (NINA: Jill photo)
THE COLOR
Salon colorists Nina Rubel and Abbie Jones recommend beige-based blonde with soft vanilla highlights throughout for this fall. (NINA: Fransizka photo)
“We’ll see plum and mahogany tones in our brunettes as well as smoky steel tones in our darker shades. For redheads, copper is the key this fall. Shades of paprika and burnt cinnamon will spice things up,” they said.
THE STYLE
“Working with a trendy middle parting, this below-the-shoulder hair style has a loose texture,” said stylist Chris Glisson. “The key to this look is the buckled wave effect that gives the style softness while also projecting an alternative, fashionable edginess.” (NINA: Emilia photo)
NSalo colorists Abbie Jones and Nina Rubel and stylists Rhea Pemberton, Chris Glisson, Roby Powers and Kristin Wilson will be styling models’ hair and make-up for the Mara Hoffman and Chris Benz shows at New York Fashion Week this month.
