Survival Of The Fittest

Strength originates from many places. Inner strength may be drawn from an inspirational mantra or personal memento, strength of mind is fortified by knowledge, and physical strength comes from just plain work. So, get ready to sweat as our model Kimberly takes us through part of her regular fitness routine of ropes, weights, and rings, sporting workout gear that won’t wear out before she does. (And that’s saying a lot.)

HIIT Me With Your Best Shot

“A great full body HIIT is:

– Plank for 1 min

– Side plank for 30 seconds (each side)

– Jump squats for 30 seconds

– Pushups for 30 seconds

– Alternating lunges for 30 seconds Do four rounds.”

On The Ropes

“A standard exercise with the ropes is ‘waves.’ Hold the ends of the ropes at arm’s length in front of your hips with your hands shoulder-width apart. Brace your core and alternately raise and lower each arm.”

Hangin’ Tough

Strengthen your back and core with these hanging leg raises: Slowly raise your legs out straight, then lower them. Try to use your abs and not your body’s momentum. For an easier variation, bend at the knee and bring your legs up to your waist, then straighten them. Do three sets of ten reps.
