ART IMITATES LIFE, OR SO THEY SAY. With prints dominating the runways for spring/summer 2016, one of the standouts was painted motifs.
Locally, that trend has picked up steam with anoraks becoming a popular go-to for the season, as well. The curious pairing of raincoats and bespattered garbs inspired our style team to come up with some artwork of their own.
With the help of local artist Nick Mijak, paintings of popular Port City venues were paired with these whimsical trends to merge local fashion and art for a collaborative masterpiece.
It is said that art imitates life, but perhaps that is but the contrary.
