2020 Women to Watch Mentor Program application

2020 Women to Watch Mentor Program application

WILMA’s Women to Watch Leadership Initiative is seeking mentees for our year-long Mentorship program. This program will connect high-potential women poised to take the next step in their careers with women and men leaders in the community.

PROGRAM DETAILS

WILMA will help match up to 30 to 35 Women to Watch mentees coming from the pool of our most recent group of Women to Watch Awards finalists, Leadership Institute alum, participants of Get on Board training, members of the WILMA Network and participants in WILMA's Leadership Accelerator workshops.

NOTE: Because of the limited number slots, this program is only open to those who were involved with a Women to Watch Leadership Initiative program in the past year. Those who attended a Get on Board training workshop, attended the Leadership Accelerator event, named a Women to Watch Awards finalist, WILMA's finalists for the Leadership Institute, or are a WILMA Network member are eligible to apply. If you have not participated in a Leadership Initiative program and are interested in learning more about how to get involved, go to wilmaontheweb.com/About-the-Initiative.

Mentees and mentors will work together for a year, meeting once a month. Should you be accepted, there is no cost for the program other than a nominal fee for an online assessment, StrengthFinders, which will help us match you with a mentor. (There’s no need to do now until you are selected).

We will hold a formal orientation and introduction to your mentor on Wednesday, March 18 from 3:30-4:30 pm. at the Wilmington Convention Center during the Wilmington Biz Conference and Expo.

The mentoring program is a part of WILMA’s Women to Watch Leadership Initiative, which has a mission to help develop more women leaders in Wilmington-area businesses, nonprofits, government bodies and boards of directors.

We at WILMA are committed to helping more women in our area ascend to leadership positions and think this program is a key component in that effort. Please fill out the application below for consideration. Deadline to apply is February 21.
